{In April 2017 I commissioned Lee & Lee Builders to renovate and extend my home. I put my plans out to tender and found Lee & Lee not only very competitive in their price; they were also very approachable and interested in the project. Due to the extensive nature of the building works I decided to move out of the premises and only able to visit the site once a week due to work commitments. Despite this Lee kept be up to date on progress and I was confident with the site visits I made (often unannounced) that the team were working hard and to a very high standard. Lee would often make some suggestions on aspects I had not even considered and would guide me to a decision, along with signposting me to excellent places to get my bathroom and kitchen units from, making the whole process a lot less stressful. Lee & Lee have an excellent hard working and trustworthy team around them and subcontractors that maintain that same high standard. The work took in total 6 months and they finish on schedule to the day, during this time they transformed my property from somewhat of an ugly duckling to a stunning and beautiful home that I am now enjoying living in again. I would certainly highly recommend Lee and Lee to anyone considering doing any work to their home.

{During 2010 we decided to progress with a significant project on our home, being a loft conversion, and a single storey extension above our garage. Lee and Lee were initially invited to quote for the project subsequent to recommendations by two separate friends within the building trade. I am delighted to say that those recommendations were well deserved. Adrian and Lee set themselves apart by bringing customer service into the building industry with the highest levels of professionalism. From the outset, the financial arrangements were transparent and competitive, with a clear plan of works indicating the likely timescales. From start to finish I felt in control of the budget and kept informed of progress which plays a significant part towards a stress free project! Whilst on site, all of the trades carefully selected by Lee and Lee were friendly, courteous and hard working. Lee and Lee take personal pride in delivering a quality end product which is evident in the workmanship of the entire team. I am delighted with the outcome and neighbours and passers by have commented on the quality of work with blends in perfectly with the existing house. Regarding finances, your initial quote was fair and you kept us well informed throughout with respect to any necessary/optional additions. Victorian property needed total renovation, including: Layout alterations, knocking through to open up space, or stud walls to create further rooms. Conversion of loft space into guest suite New electrics, heating system, re-plastering and painting/decoration throughout. New kitchen, laundry room, 3 new bathrooms. Restoring (by mostly rebuilding) our Victorian timber-framed conservatory. Replacing external doors and some windows. Guttering work, re-roofing carport, new garage door and surface work on the driveway. One of the main reasons that we chose you over other builders, was that whilst quoting you were the most interested in the final finish of the house, which was important to us, as we were living abroad. You did not disappoint. Your attention to detail, particularly where carpentry-work was concerned, was superb. You managed to save and replicate so many of the original features/skirting boards/cornices etc. throughout the house and created wonderful built-in wardrobes, cabinets, dado rails etc., that were all in keeping and of a high standard. I should also mention that you and all your contractors/team members were always very tidy on site, and cleaned up very well after yourselves. We have no hesitation in recommending you and would be happy for you to pass our contact details onto further potential customers requesting references.”

{Lee & Lee have recently completed an extensive re-roofing at the above property. The work was over the period of October and November 2002. The project was completed to programme, to the quoted costs and in a very professional manner. Lee & Lee were recommended by a work colleague in the area. From the quotation stages, they maintained all their commitments regarding visiting, quoting and timescales. Their agreed contract was to complete all structural and external work to create 3 bedrooms and a bathroom on the floor plan of our existing bungalow. This scope included the provision of all materials and the provision and co-ordination of subcontract resource (steel work, block-work, roofing, rendering and plastering) as required. Work was completed to a high standard on a relatively complex project. They were highly concientious and committed, with very long working days (including weekends). They were always polite and attempted to maintain a clean working area with due concern and consideration to our home. They worked well to the architects and structural engineer’s plans and maintained a good relationship with the council building’s inspector. They were prepared to discuss technical issues and to make and communicate decisions as required to progress the work. They maintained a flexible approach in both co-ordinating and working with their subcontractors. This enabled minor additions to the original scope to be included at reasonable cost. They were obviously motivated and enthusiastic and have demonstrated high skills in both their trade and managing subcontract resource as required. Despite their youth, we have been delighted with their service and have had no concerns with recommending them to anyone for similar projects. We were fortunate to have selected them for our work.
